Democratic Senators Elizabeth Warren and Jack Reed have called for a Department of Justice and Treasury investigation into World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency venture linked to Donald Trump. The lawmakers allege the company sold tokens to entities tied to North Korea's Lazarus Group, Russian ruble-backed stablecoins, and Iranian exchanges, raising national security concerns.

The senators cited a report from Accountable.US claiming WLFI lacked safeguards against illicit financial flows. Their letter highlights potential conflicts of interest and governance risks in the Trump-affiliated crypto project.
